Winter Cross Country and Race Walking season well underway
Winter Season Registration is available for those who did not register for the Summer Season
(If you registered for the Summer Track and Field season, you are still registered for Winter events)

There have been a couple event since our last update.
On the Monday of the long weekend Adelaide Harriers hosted their event in the South Parklands, and Enfield hosted their event at St Albans Reserve yesterday.
Racewalking was also held in the parklands on Saturday too.
Enfield's recently had an upgrade to their facility where their sprint track, and jumps run ups are now rubber - just like Mile End.  It looks very impressive.
Season results for Cross Country and Walks can be found here and here.

This weekend's Cross Country is hosted by Barossa Valley at Bethany Reserve.
An iconic, true cross country race venue which has kept the same course format going for decades.
Pack a spare pair of shoes as there are a couple creek crossings and roast some marshmallows on the open fire afterwards.
Parents, be sure to pack your runners too.  This event has the biggest field of Mum's and Dad's racing for the season.  It will be worth your while for a lazy one kilometre trott.  1km course strava segment

Barossa Valley Cross Country - Sunday 23rd June Bethany Reserve
Race Walk Meet 4 - Saturday 29th June Adelaide Parklands
Mid Coast Cross Country - Sunday 30th June Tatachilla Lutheran College

Welcome to Eastern Districts Little Athletics Centre

Summer Track and Field has finished for the 2018 / 2019 Season.

Our next Summer Season will resume around October 2019

Eastern Districts Little Athletics Club hosts a uniquely Australian sport for children aged 3-17 years. As the name suggests, it is based on the sport of athletics (track and field) and the events are specially modified to suit the ages and abilities of children. A wide range of running, jumping, throwing and walking events are conducted.

Little Athletics recognises that children vary widely in shape, size and athletic ability, and is thus one of few sports that successfully caters to them all. Each year across South Australia, approximately 6,000 boys and girls enjoy the activities that Little Athletics has to offer.

'Little Aths', as it is affectionately referred to by those who enjoy it, is not really about winning, but about having fun, making friends and getting families involved in healthy activities. Given this emphasis, it is little surprise then that the motto of Little Athletics is 'Family, Fun, and Fitness'.

Please see the News section for all centre updates - Our Track & Field Season runs from September until the end of March each year, with home meets being held on Sunday mornings at Webb Oval, Glenunga.

Current Joining Fees and Training Times are posted in our FAQ'S tab if you would like to become a member for the Cross Country portion of the season which runs from May until the end of July. These meets are held at different centres around Adelaide.

Why not do a  'COME & TRY' visit with your children before joining!
